Position Title:   Education Director 

Reports to:         AVP/VP/SVP Education, IIMP®

 

Mandate/Role:

The Education Director, reporting to AVP/VP/SVP Education of IIMP® is responsible for coordinating in the implementation of Education Management Committee's mandate and development of the International Institute of Marketing Professionals’ (IIMP®) seminars and educational programs globally as a major marketing vehicle for building the brand, products, and business for IIMP® members – practitioners and their industry professionals. 

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Assisting in arrangement seminars and education programs via a variety of multi-media platforms, including live presentations. 

2.       Assisting in assessment data regarding IIMP® members educational needs and identify (global) education and learning and development programs that identify ways to meet the needs of the organization’s IIMP® members by working creatively with cross-functional teams.

3.       Assisting in the planning, soliciting of speakers, organizing of the agenda, selecting the meeting location and facility, and collaborating with facility staff to achieve the best possible learning environment.

4.       Employ strong business acumen to create strategic programs which increase sales and build brand image. 

5.       Ability to lead and deliver a cohesive marketing message and organization image that complements the overall marketing strategy. 

6.       Assisting in determining speaker topics for the year that align with business goals and objectives and market trends.

7.       Assist in Solicitation of input from leaders and others and review IIMP® member data regarding desired subject areas and potential speakers.

8.       Assist in review of programmatic format changes or revisions based on past experience and offer conclusions from this review leading to improved approaches for future seminars. 

9.       Assisting in organization of large events with multiple opinion leaders as well as smaller engagements and in-office seminars that translate to positive exposure and awareness of International Institute of Marketing Professionals and its array of products. 

10.   Assist in setting the direction of the organization’s Certified Marketing Management Professional (CMMP®) designation programs. Ensure that program offers best-in-class education and implementation of these institutionally proven successful programs.

12.   Experience working with and developing strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders

13.   Team-oriented approach; good motivational communication and presentation skills

14.   Superb writing and general communications skills.

 

Accountability:

1.       Assist in development of programs which lead to sales growth to meet annual sales objectives

2.       Assist development and review of the department budget and ensure the budget complies with stated tasks, goals, guidelines and objectives

3.       Ensure highly productive department, capable of meeting business needs

4.       Obtain and maintain an understanding of International Institute of Marketing Professionals and its products, the competitors and the respective IIMP® members and markets so as to thoroughly understand product development, pricing, and positioning


 Education/Training Required

1.       A master's degree in education from an accredited institution.

2.       9– 12 years previous business experience, preferably involving enhanced learning   products

3.       Demonstrated experience driving measurable results through educational/seminar efforts, ideally in enhanced learning products.

4.       Ability to define opportunities and problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and make valid conclusions

5.       Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a strategic capacity and a hands-on/execution mode

6.       Sync with Sales to understand and support coordination of IIMP® member participation

7.       Manage and track IIMP® member data for use in sales opportunities

8.       Experience in managing profit centers and budgets

9.       Experience and Understanding of operational processes
