Job purpose

The Marketing and Communications Associate is responsible for
supporting the planning, development and execution of marketing
initiatives across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will work
directly with the Marketing and Communication team members to ensure
projects are running on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities
|
- Work closely marketing managers and other internal stakeholders to
identify marketing opportunities and develop marketing plans that will
achieve business goals and targets.
- Provide day-to-day service and support to ensure the effective
execution and delivery of marketing and communications initiatives.
- Support project leads on large-scale campaigns and lead on small to mid-sized programs
- Manage the day-to-day execution of marketing programs - create
briefs, project timelines, status updates and success metric reports to
ensure deliverables and launch dates are met and tracking measurement is
in place
- Obtain approvals from business stakeholders such as operations, legal, underwriting, claims and executive
- Support in the project management and execution of partner and third party initiatives, events and sponsorships.
- Develop and manage content for internal and external communications
across multiple mediums – blogs, social media, newsletters, articles,
ads etc.
- Manage print collateral/ brochures and print-on-demand platforms to ensuring that all material is current and available.
- Support internal communication team and sales with internal awareness campaigns/communications as needed.
- Build, nurture and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Remain current on all aspects of marketing trends, and other areas affecting the team’s business;
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
|
- Solid experience with 3-5 years of demonstrated success in a marketing related position, either agency or client-side
- Experience implementing marketing programs across multiple marketing mediums - digital, social and traditional
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong editing and proofreading skills
- High energy and self-motivated with a proven ability to learn quickly and lead projects
- Able to work independently to carry out projects from start to finish.
- Detail oriented and proactive in anticipating and responding to team's needs and manage multiple and changing priorities;
- Ability to make sound decisions using well thought out rationale.
- Exceptional client focus with proven ability to foster relationships at all levels in an organization
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with the ability to persuade and influence in a positive manner.
- Adaptable, accountable, disciplined and dedicated
- Industry and B2B experience an asset.
- University degree, preferably in marketing, communications or
related program – suitable combination of education/experience will be
considered.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, MS Excel, Word, Outlook and a willingness to learn new computer software programs as required
